I am a Year 5 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Junjovich is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you

Mt Ruapehu
On the last day of our family vacation we went to see Mt Ruapehu at the place called Whakapapa ski-field. When we got there we took a photo in front of the sign that said "Whakapapa". After we took the photo my sister, my dad and me threw snow balls at each other, I hit my sister and dad three or more times, they hit me too. We then had some hot chocolate. We went down an elevator to go on the sleds but first had to listen to some rules, if there was anybody on the track you were not allowed to go down the track, and there was a magic carpet ( aka a moving carpet) to take you back to the top, but if you use the carpet you have to go on it fast and get of it fast otherwise it will stop moving, my sister made it stop and so did my mum. Before we got back on the bus we played in some snow that where behind some buildings. I climbed the hill to the highest point and slide down it again and while I was up there people where building a wall made out of snow and they asked me if I wanted to help them. I got a lot of snow from the top of the hill for the wall, meanwhile down at the bottom of the hill my family were making a snowman. After a little while we had to get back on the bus, so I slide down the hill super fast. My sister and and i took a photo with the snow man just before we left.
