Bee sting: lockdown
It was about a week ago when my sister and I were playing outside climbing trees. I jumped off a tree
trying to run away from my sister. My dad mowed the lawn earlier that day. So, when I jumped off the
tree I landed on a dead bee. As soon as the bee stung me I knew not to walk on my foot so that the
poison doesn’t go into my foot.

I shouted out: ”Dad I got a bee sting!”. My dad took a sharp knife to remove the stinger, but it didn’t work.
My mum got my dad the tweezers and my dad got the stinger out by pinching the front end of the stinger
with the tweezers.

I will not lie, I felt nervous about the bee sting and the poison. I relaxed after my dad removed the stinger.
I wanted to see how the stinger looked under the microscope. So my dad helped me and this is what we
saw.

Fantastic writing Edmon. I can visualise what happened with the words that you used, great work. WOW! How interesting to view the stinger under a microscope. These photos are excellent. Keep up the great writing and blog posting Edmon! Cheers, Whaea Deb
