WALT tell the time o'clock and half past.
I did the time booklet very well it did take a day or so. I found the time slide a bit tricky. I can try to do the time slide and the time booklet a bit faster.
I am a Year 5 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Junjovich is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you

Do you care about the environment? Do you care about all the animals dying? We can all help to prevent this if we act now and start recycling.
Recycling helps save animals in the water and on land and birds in the sky. We can help clear the skies from lots of dust and smoke for birds like the Southern Albatross which is the biggest seabird. Recycling plastic will prevent it from landing up in the ocean where turtles will think it is their favourite food named jellyfish and whales mistaking it for cril. If more people recycle their plastic, there will be less plastic and more animals.
Recycling saves our planets resources. By recycling 1 ton of paper, we save 17 trees. Recycling oil prevents water pollution.
Another positive thing about recycling is that it creates jobs. There are a lot of recycling depots all over New Zealand where numerous people sort through the paper, cardboard, plastic and glass that is brought to them and then sent to different places to be reused or recycled.
We can all help our planet by starting recycling everything, from food scraps for compost to every last bit of plastic. Up here in the North we only recycle number 1 plastic and our milk bottles, all the other plastic ends up in the rubbish. We as a community should look into ways to recycle all our plastic.
We only have one earth so let's take care of it.
WALT to plant trees here with Ngati Kahu. We planted manuka and kanuka. We are cleaning piking up rubbish to clean lake Ngatu. If you go to a near by ocean or lake pick up some of the rubbish that you see even if it is not your rubbish. we had tow other class with us one was our year six class Te Kauru and our year five class Te Puawai. I was reading about the winning side. Their are tow mane characters Nia and Sefina. Sefina side'' we should have a agenda." An agenda side Nia." "Why?" " Because it's what you stand for. You need to focus on some kind of issue . And have a plan." Nia likes the bush bloke behind the library. she likes it because of the beautiful beards sing in the trees and the fresh air. there is also another girl called Poppy that also likes the bush bloke. she likes to draw there. Poppy side"hope they don't cut down the trees." Nia " do you think they well cut down the trees." Poppy " ya the people that speak the loudest normally gets what the want." On Friday, there were speeches from more candidates. Nia found her seat. Her hands were sweat, but she was sticking with her plan. most of these students side the same thing. There was a lot of talk about the bush and using it for sport. the audience booed and cheered, depending on which spot they played. Then it was Nia's turn. She kept her eyes on her feet as she went up to the stage, forcing herself on breathing slowly. Then she looked up. Sefina's mouth was hanging open like she was watching Mrs lamb do a tap dance. Nia begin with the bush bloke and how beautiful it was. She talked about the names on the trees and the kids who used the space and why: to draw or chat or just hang out.
